How To
When near distractions, whether it be critter, human, or what sometimes seems like non-stop sniff and chomp mystery treats...easily shorten the lead to control your busy dog at your side.
To bring her to heel, extend your arm forward and press the brake button. Step toward her and repeat. With a quick retreat you can stop unwanted behavior like digging up the neighbor's flower garden, taking care of business in undesirable areas, or even crossing the street without permission.
The coordination does take some getting used to, but before long you'll both enjoy the freedom that this retractable leash has to offer.
Damage Control
Is your dog's collar strong enough to withstand the tension and sudden stopping of the leash? When attaching and detaching the leash be sure to have him under control. The cord, or tape, should be fully retracted into the housing unit.
You, with the duct tape
It is best not to attempt to repair signs of chewing, fraying or damage with any collar and leash.
